BUTCH ROGERS, CPA

Butch grew up in West Texas and earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Abilene Christian University, followed by a master’s degree in Taxation from Texas Tech University.

He began his public accounting career in 1982 in Lubbock, Texas, and relocated to Wooster, Ohio, in 1990. Shortly after moving, he founded Rogers CPA Group, which he successfully led until selling the firm in 2006. In 2013, Butch co-founded Core CFO Solutions, LLC with his son, Marcus.

Core CFO Solutions provided CFO-for-hire and outsourced accounting services. As their work with clients grew, Butch and Marcus expanded their services to include tax planning and compliance, forming MBR Partners, Inc., a full-service Ohio CPA firm.

Butch is committed to being more than just “the tax guy” for his clients. He works year-round to help business owners strengthen their financial operations and plan strategically for the future, building lasting relationships based on trust and guidance.



He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of CPAs. Butch lives in Wooster, Ohio, with his wife, Donna.
